Question:
After listening to Rick Warren and John Piper...
Is Rick Warren even a Pastor?
I mean, really.
Piper nails it.

"oooohwowwwzaaa...hate to say it....that is some serious, serious Scripture twisting."
Exactly.
Why Rick Warren and his Purpose Driven movement have not been thoroughly exposed and denounced, by the whole church, is troubling. A very sad state of affairs indeed.
Rick Warren is a very clever Scripture twister.
".....People have wondered at how skilled men like Rick Warren are at fusing truth and error, often in one sentence or paragraph. What someone appears to be saying, is, in the end, something very different."
Christ’s Warning Concerning False Teachers
Either Rick Warren is a deceiving liar, blind, or simply does not read his Bible in context.
How can ANY true believer listen to this guy and not see his errors?
A very sad recording of "America's Preacher"...
we need to get back to the preachers of old...
I appreciate Rick Warren and the important message he brings to the church today.

And what important message is that, Karen?
I found the host annoying.
On one hand I think that Warren has done some good things, he has presented the gospel in a way that is simple and easier for the common not so literate people can handle.
On the other hand he gets a bit too ear tickley.
Very interesting post. A read Rick Warren's previous book called "The Purpose Driven Church" several years ago and knew then there was something terribly wrong with this man. The problem, as I see it, is there are so many people today that only approach the Gospel of Jesus for what they can get out of it, for what they can take from it. The pastors that follow the ways of Warren and Hybels are only in it for the money and fame. If their churches don't grow into the mega churches they seek, its not because of God they argue, it's because they lack the 21 century skills to manipulate the masses. The people who attend their churches, are only in it because of salvation and the prosperity message. They want the hope that some day they will finally achieve the earthly material successes that God desires so much to give them, or at least that's what they have been told. The entire thing is a sham. Thanks for your concern.
